Rashmi Bharti runs an NGO named Avani, along with her husband Rajnish and hundreds of people of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. They started working with a solar program initiative which later got expanded into a sustainable textile program and other verticals. After exhausting all options, she decided to open an entire school for her 3 years old daughter to be able to educate her the way she wanted to. When I met her, this subject just happened randomly during our conversation and I realised that this is a great story that needs to be told.
